Sarah Frisch On September 11, 2001, before 9 a.m. in the morning, I was on the 7th Avenue subway line, and my destination was the 50th Street train station. However, we were advised to exist at the 42nd Street, the Times Square station. As I ascended to the street, I noticed a crowd gathered watching the news broadcasted at the top of the news bulletin board with the headline that one of the World Trade Towers was hit by a plane. C. B. Gulden I was at work in Bridgewater, NJ that day when I received a phone call from a co-worker indicating that a plane had hit the North Tower of the WTC. I immediately called my wife at home in Watchung, NJ to ask her if she heard anything about this. She mentioned that she was watching ABC's Good Morning America when they broke in with a special report indicating that a plane had hit the North Tower of the WTC. As the special report was being broadcast it suddenly went odd the air. She said that CBS in NY was the only local station broadcasting. She was watching CBS live and saw the 2nd plane hit the South Tower of the WTC. She also saw both towers collapse live on CBS. Please accept this contribution as a way to remember and memorialize all of the lives that were lost on that tragic day. In addition this WTC Memorial and Museum can be a place where families can go to honor their loved ones and where future generations can come to see an event that changed history. Watchung New Jersey

Mr. and Ms. Lewis Rosenbaum We were watching the Today Show in Somerset New Jersey when our youngest daughter Albe called from Tokyo, Japan. She was there on business. She had CNN on and almost simultaneously we saw the planes hit the Towers. Our oldest daughter Lisa, and her husband, Eric both worked in the area of the World Trade Center. In fact, this was their train stop. Needless to say we were so concerned for their safety and that of those in the Towers. Fortunately, Lisa and Eric were fine and actually were able to find each other in the midst of this horrible event. It took awhile until we heard from them. There were very long hours until we knew they were all right. Friends of ours were not to lucky. Their beautiful, intelligent, dynamic daughter worked for Center Fitzgerald. She did not survive. The terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and on the Pentagon has changed all our lives forever. This was a sad day for all humankind. Somerset New Jersey

Were being evacuated & I watched people walking across one of the several bridges carrying their briefcases. It was several hours before I was allowed to leave the city. I was driving to my home in Wheeling, WA & was alone. I wept as I listened to the radio accounts. I lived in NYC for many years. Wheeling West Virginia
